Did Kucinich Fall on His Sword For RP?

What I'm about to posit is undoubtedly a controversial, and, some will say ludicrous theory. I believe Dennis Kucinich sacrificed his shot at the Democratic nomination to get a fair recount for Ron Paul. I'm sure he was also concerned about Obama's numbers, but he knew his friend RP got screwed in the NH primary and decided to save him the damage that asking for a recount himself would have dealt his campaign, instead taking the scorn upon himself and his own much less likely presidential bid.

Whatever happens with the recount, we owe Dennis Kucinich a heartfelt and enduring debt of gratitude for taking a political bullet to give his good friend the fair shake he knows RP deserved.

I don't know if that's all together true. I think Dennis is quite an honest guy and truely believes in what he's doing. If it requires that he sacrifice himself for the better of the American people then i think he would.

Agreed. I'm further convinced by this article I read the other day that Kucinich is an uncompromising truthseeker who stands above the partisan gang mentality.

I have got to give props to Kucinich. We disagree on many positions, but agree with him on many very important ones. Regardless, he is an honest truth seeking man of integrity in an environment over run by crooks and deserves a lot more respect than he deserves.

It required one of the Republican candidates to trigger a recount of the Republican votes.

Dennis is doing what he thinks is right. He has never had any chance to win the Democratic nomination.

1.) Dennis Kucinich never had any "shot at the nomination".

2.) The recount of the Democrat vote called for by Kucinich does not have anything to do with the recount of the Republican vote.

No, Dennis Kucinich calling for a recount only addresses the Democratic recount. They do not count the votes for the Republican. If he were worried about Ron Paul and was supporting him, he would have told his supporters to vote for Ron Paul in Iowa, instead of Obama.

Also, another gentleman who ran for Republican president in New Hampshire has started the recount process for the Republicans. You can thank Mr. Albert Howard for this recount, as now Ron Paul's votes will be recounted. And, thank the Granny Warriors and those who are contrbuting..http://grannywarrior.chipin.com/recount

According to the latest news, we need to raise some more money quickly to help out.....

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this may be the first time the entire vote on both sides was ever counted in a Presidential election.

God Bless you, Dennis.

Now let's hope we have enough money to do it.

Then what did have anything to do with the recount of the republican vote?

I agree fully heartedly that Dennis would do that. Remember there are you tubes about a possible Paul/Kucinich ticket. Nonetheless if that is a strech Dennis is also a man of pricipal above politics.

I reluctantly agree with the statement "Dennis never had any shot at the nomination".

But it troubles me because the same issue is being raised against Dr. Paul.

Despite all our strength on the Internet and thousands upon thousands of ardent Ron Paul supporters, we are citing "High turnout" in New Hampshire as the reason for our loss. Only 18,000 votes for Dr. Paul out of ~200,000 who voted?

Clearly, the problem is that we haven't refined our message sufficiently to appeal to the majority of voters - Democrats or Republican.

Our goal is Dr. Paul's presidency, not merely the Republican nomination.

That won't happen unless we address this issue immediately.

The ongoing lovefest for Dennis Kucinich, along with getting trapped into supporting a money bomb in memory of another socialist, this time a philanderer, makes me realize just how many of Dr. Paul's supporters must be here solely due to his anti-war views.

Hardly. We are supporting Dr. Paul, remember.

But, Dennis has done a brave and honorable thing here, and such things should be appreciated in a society where they are rare.

We need to count the whole vote because that way it makes it harder for them to cheat on the recount plus the hilary/obama effect was huge.
