Did anyone get their voter registration card in NY?

I don't think they send you anything until it's time to tell you where the polling place is. Nevertheless, you can call your county board of elections to see if they registered you.

I registered in Nassau county and got nothing until an election was coming up. They sent a little card telling you where to vote... And when I changed party affiliation, they sent me nothing, so I called them up to see if it was successful. It was. Just recently, I moved my registration to Tompkins County... So i guess i'll call on monday to see if that was successful.

Call your local board of elections. I got my new card and it still said party "blank". I called and they confirmed it was changed but it is not effective untill after the local elections in November.

everything is rigged.

On a smaller scale my recent experiences have been like below leading me to believe I may run into problems voting for Paul in the primary:

I get the card every year in NY that shows that I am registered Republican. This year some how it shows up as Democrat. I talked about it with a friend of mine who lives across town and the same thing happened to him. Very odd coincidence.

I went down to the board of elections to make sure it is switched back prior to 10/12 so I can I vote in primary for Paul and reported the problem. The person there insisted I had always been a Democrat and showed my first voter registration some 20 years ago. She tried to tell me that maybe the few times I switched to other parties (twice for Republican and once for Reform Party for Buchanan) perhaps I did not fill out the forms right. But yet no explanation was provided why in prior years my card correctly showed me as Republican.

This not to mention back in 2004 I was in the voter booth and they were out of write in ballots. (they successfully kept the Constitution party candidate off the ballot here in NY). The people running the show said did not have any paper, that once I signed in and entered the booth you cannot come back to vote with paper for my write in. Need to remember that this time to bring paper but who would expect the polling place not to stock for write-in ballots on election day.

So I have this feeling that come primary time I am going to have some problem not allowing me to vote for Paul.

Hmmm.. run by the government, it's going to be slow. My husband's took about 3 weeks to get here in AZ. Mine came faster as I did it over the internet.

Rodent --- It took them about 14 business days to send me materials. It said:

"REGISTRATION EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY."
"YOUR CURRENT PARTY IS REPUBLICAN."

you better get that republican card! if not I'd sue, id sue their pants off!

I am in NY and I called the BOE about it and the lady said I wouldn't get anything in the mail about it.

It took them 3 months to mail me my card. That's government for you! Maybe it's just a huge influx of people registering to vote for RP. When I finally called they said I am registered and can vote without the card and it's in the mail anyway. But I did miss the local primary in September because I thought I wasn't registered. I would call them up.

I registered last tuesday in person (in NY) and the guy said it would take about 4 weeks to get a card.
