As grassroots supporters, we have taken on an epic struggle to "educate" the masses and talking heads about Ron Paul. We frequently call in to radio stations, write letters to newspapers, and talk to strangers to counter any qualms they may have.
However, none of us can talk about Ron Paul's positions better than Ron Paul himself. When responding to doubters, we may let our emotions or personal biases take control, not answer correctly, and digress into other topics -- all of which may turn off potential voters.
So here is a proposal. When responding to people when they cite a divergent viewpoint, how about having a Ron Paul speech or article ready to go.
For example, the argument you hear most against Ron Paul is his stance on the War and Terrorism. Instead of trying to defend him in our own words, how about sending the Hannity, Glenn Beck, and Rush Limbaugh's of the world this:
http://www.ronpaul2008.com/articles/115/suicide-terrorism/
I think this is one of the best and most concise speeches to help qualm the fear of terrorism that has taken over so many people's minds. Do you agree? Is there a better one?
Now to take this thread further, how about this:
Cite a common argument against voting for Ron Paul and attach a corresponding Ron Paul speech or article to address it.
Then we could have a toolbox of Ron Paul responses to common misconceptions. Send these to radio shows, newspapers, and others you meet.
What do you think? Please participate. I need more tools.
