When I heard about this, I heard it was a bunch of people reading it. When I saw it was a bunch of celebrities, I was disappointed.

Sounds like a 230 yr old message directed at King George and Blackwater with out a single word changed from the original Declaration. I don't think some of those actors couldn't of done so well a job unless they know how those injustices feel today.

Maybe those celebrities will endorse Ron.

Why make it, these are what most people worship in this country, the American Royalty, nothing would have a greater impact on the"I have to watch American Idol crowd". Heck the name says it Idol worship. It has much broader appeal than unknowns. Besides these people are professionals at what they do and can one imagine the money and profession talent that went into this. Why reinvent that wheel? Just my opinion.

Yes but that's what's makes it so good because many people in the USA believe that too. So when they see their Idols supporting this Ideas of Freedom and revolt. They might believe it, or short circuit their brains a little. The idea is to appeal to the largest amount of sheeple to awaken them and these actors are their hero's. Not unknowns. Beside these actors could of turned this role down so maybe there is still hope for even them.

It was completely awesome of Morgan Freeman(love that name) as a black man stating look at the noble idea's of the Declaration and not the flaws of the men who wrote it.

I was gonna say the exact same thing. They may believe the words they're saying as an overall "idea", but in practicality they are almost diametrically opposed to the ideals of the founders.

I think they were all gung-ho to do this because they thought they were making some clever comment about the Bush administration, not out of any real deeply held principles of freedom.

And why give Graham Greene the paragraph slamming the "Indian Savages"?
