alright.. I've been hearing people say it both ways and I just want clarification. Is Ron Paul going to be included in the Dec 4th Iowa/Fox Debates?

Im sorry if this has already been answered, I cant find a formal definitive answer to it.

Don't think it has been decided yet.

Moreover, he was never specifically excluded from the debate. Rather, Fox and the Iowa GOP imposed restrictions on who could be in the debate, and one of them was that each person had to be polling at or above 5% either in Iowa polls or National polls. Whether or not this was designed specifically to keep Ron Paul out, or whether it was an effort to streamline the debates to only the "serious" candidates, I don't know.

However, with RP's recent poll numbers, we shouldn't have too much to worry about. :)

I emailed the campaign and suggested Ron Paul have a rally on the day of the cancelled debate now. It may show that he has more dedication than Romney, who dropped out. Feel free to email them as well.

I wonder, and this is only speculation, if FOX paid Romney a hefty sum of money to do this, because FOX didn't want to be scrutinized with the debate time allotted to Giuliani. That way, it wouldn't look like Giuliani was backing out. It makes absolutely zero sense why Romney would back out of a debate. It makes no sense at all.

it makes perfect sense... hes high in the polls and he thinks he has it in the bag... He doesn't want to give others the chance to be in the spotlight and maybe take him down. Im almost positive the other contenders are really starting to get scared of ron paul. Hes gaining momentum, making money, rising in the polls, and starting to get real media coverage. I doubt they want to give him anymore spotlight than he has. Romney cancelled because hes confident in his position now and doesn't want to give somebody else a chance in a national debate to take it away from him.
