Ladies and Gentleman...

Instead of worrying about a Primary Election to get on the Republican line... Our message in my district will be carried DIRECTLY to the GENERAL ELECTION by my campaign on the Libertarian Line!!

Just though I'd let you all know!

I hopes to see you all in D.C. tomorrow!!

David Gay
Libertarian for U.S. Congress
New York State - 25th District

David is saying (and the report from the new york state board of elections:
http://www.elections.state.ny.us:8080/reports/rwservlet?cmdkey=whofiled
confirms it) that he did not get his petitions filed to be on the Republican Ballot.

As a "Ron Paul Republican" donor to David's [Republican] campaign, I am disappointed. I felt David's best chances would be on the Republican Ticket in this
"leans Republican" district. It's also dissapointing that the rEVOLution is not providing much support to our congressional candidates.

Especially since as a Republican candidate, he could still petition for the Libertarian Line in NY.

Pending Challenges, It currently likes like

Dale Sweetland will be on the Republican and Conservative Lines.
Dan Maffei will be on the Democrat and Working Families Lines.
Thomas Connolly will be on the Independence Party Line.

I wish David luck with his future endeavors and it looks like I will have to change my tag line. Steven Vasquez in NY 21 did get his petitions filed and we need to wait to see if they are challenged.

Sincerely,
Steve

David. Realistically speaking - it's over. Staying in the race at this point siphons money and effort into a campaign that could be better spent on a campaign such as Stephen Vasquez's or BJ Lawson's. Thank you for your effort, and better luck next time. Perhaps there's a local office up for grabs that you could win a seat on in the coming year - holding elected office always helps, and it builds your local support base so that petitioning is easier the next time around. Cheers!
