Criticism of Ron Carey and MN GOP

My convention (HD 53A) was on Monday night, and it seemed to be pretty fair, although there was a vast majority of neocons. The last 2 delegate speeches were given by a couple long time active members, and they both said, "Don't vote for me, vote for the younger people, because we need to expand the Republican party."

It went really long... it was supposed to go from 7 to 10 on a Monday night at a church, and evidently the church wanted us out ASAP after 10. It didn't finish until almost midnight.

The only thing that seems a little fishy to me is that they kicked everybody out before they counted the delegate votes. It's somewhat understandable, considering the delegate vote was at the end of the night, and the church wanted us out, and I couldn't stick around anyway because I had a babysitter watching my son. What makes it look fishy is that they still haven't posted the results anywhere that I can find. They said they'd be posting them on their web site, and it shouldn't take 5 days to do it!

They just added the "Kappler wins District Endorsement" commentary tonight, but the delegate results still aren't anywhere to be found.

When I was at cd 6, I was asked by someone to protest if ron carey tried to endorse delegate hopefuls from the microphone. So I thought why wait to see if he endorses or not go talk to him now. I didn't really even know him or his position prior. Anyway I went to talk to him and I said I don't think it would be a good idea if he endoses from the mike; he replied that " seems like everyone else is endorsing from up there."

As it turned out he didn't do it!!!!!!!!

Anyway why do these incumbent folks get to talk for as long as they want and they are all running as delegates as well. We agreed per rules that guests would only talk for 5 minutes, yet normy gets to talk for over 20 minutes.

In my opinon they shold be able to talk for 5 minutes as a guest, but they shouldn't say anything about running as a delegate. then when its time for them to run as a delegate they talk for the set amount of time just like everyone else. and thinking about it michelle wasn't even a guest she was at the convention just like everyone else.

As you may be able to tell I don't support neocons.

If they don't want the influx of new voters, then we'll take our time, talents, dollars, and votes elsewhere.
