between Ron/Huckabee. Huckabee is in, Ron Is close. I do not advise this whatsoever, no need to debate someone under you, running out of money, challenge Rudy one on one. Either that or tell CNN you want 1/2 hr and half the time and a veto on the foolish questions, pre debate.

Yeah, Huckadufus is just grasping for a little extra attention.

how is coverage on CNN, specifically coverage where ron paul is the antiwar candidate, on a network that panders to the crowd who probably hates the war, a bad thing.

Coverage is great when it is free and CNN must think this will draw ratings plus just think of the time each can speak. I'm all for if it is true.

.

Coverage is a good thing

but just being highlighted with Ron is going to move Huckabee up, not down. Huckabee is a preacher for cryin out loud, he is better at pulling emotional strings than any of the others. All, I am saying is since Ron has some political muscle now he should dictate the terms or not go. I do not want to see him in a shouting match with a preacher. Huckabee is a likeable guy and people will sense he is attacking a likeable guy, while attacking Ghoulaini would be welcomed. However, its his call, the only benefit I see could be name recognition if he is razor sharp.

In the 30 second soundbite world, it's way too easy for the media who obviously hates Ron Paul to chop up clips to make him sound god awful.

Net loss in my view.

Looks almost like a done deal but you know all the so called frontrunners and party bosses are going to be prepping Huckabee as to what they want done. Huckabee for all intents and purposes is running for VP. He will do anything for them to solidify this position. Unless Ron sets conditions and gets some control of the questioning, they can make him look like he is assaulting the preacher. Huckabee has a natural ability to draw, he is a nice guy feelings, that all the top teir cannot. It cannot be all about war and honor, the economy, federal reserve, free markets, inflation tax, all need to be in there.

ron paul scores high with people who know who he is. this is not true for other candidates. all publicity is good publicity.

think about it, ron paul went on a SMEAR CAMPAIGN show 2 nights ago, lost his temper, got barely any time to talk, and won the postgame poll.

if he gets to speak, he can not lose.

Huckabee does have that nice folksy "gee, ma" thing going for him but I think most of those who will be voting in the primaries are thinking with their heads, or at least I hope they are. I think the exposure would be awesome for both of them. Perhaps it will serve to take the coward (thomson) the goul, the flip flopper and inane down a notch.

If the time and format was correct, Ron would CREAM Huckabee (and as a result) cream the entire Pro-War position all together.

If you are one of the people who think Huckabee is trying to "suck-up" to the neo-cons by adopting their policies; then we should view this as

Paul vs Neo-Con. (though the huckster's not quite a neo-con...he's pretty darn close)

Intelligence vs Sham.

But, then again, I wonder what it would do to Ron's image. Would it make him look like a 2nd tier? Or would it bring him up to 1st tier? This is tricky; it could be a trap.

May be good for both? Huckadick [Sorry lol] needs the money, while Ron Paul could use the media exposure... I don't know. I'd like to see it.

I think it would be great for both Ron and Huck. Out of the other Republicans running, I think Huckabee is a bit preferable and so I'd rather see him move up than some of the others (not sure if that is good strategy though). Don't get me wrong, there are many things I don't like about Huck but I dislike most of the others much more. This would sure boost Ron Paul's name recognition and he is very good at tough questions so I think it is a plus.

Do it. He will get exposure, time to explain his stances on other issues hopefully, and turning it down will make him look like a coward.

Ron Paul should have also signed up with the gay forum thing that the democrats did. The GOP candidates were invited, but none accepted. Ron Paul explained his views on gay marriage beautifully during the Google interview

paraphrasing

so, do you support gay marriage?

RP: "I support free associations"

that's a nice answer. I don't even LIKE the institution of marriage, why in the hell do we need a government permit to marry? lol why is government even involved? just..so..illogical

I'd rather see Paul and Ghouliani since G boy is more of a neo con plus is more of a big government guy. It would be a much bigger contrast. But that probably won't happen.

I like how Huckabee kind of defended Ron Paul in the spin room interview. I just don't much like his views...

Yeah this would be more beneficial to Huckabee. Ron Paul is getting more name recognition and making more money than him. Hes the softest neocon out of the whole pack "The what would jesus do guy OH i know stay in Iraq".

I really dont think it would help us. Yeah Ron Paul would win but there just inst enough contrast between the two guys.

It is a Trap! Debating is just like boxing. Ron Paul needs to go up against one of the heavy weights not someone below him. Huckabee thinks he can leech off the Ron Paul phenomena. Why give him the chance?
