Chuck Baldwin not on my sample ballot

Is Baldwin not running in California, or what?

Hi Jace,

Welcome to RPFs.

Please use the "search" function before creating duplicate threads. ;)

You might want to take a sec to read the forum guidelines. :)

Nope. haha

Stick to your trolling grounds; New Jersey kid. You might want to goto the thread I directed Jace to and learn something before you write more vitriol you filthy tick.

Baldwin is indeed running in California as a certified write-in candidate BTW.

Not the same as on the ballot :) writeins don't count as real votes, you lose.

Write in votes

How doesn't a write-in vote for a registered candidate count as a vote...?

If a candidate is registered as a write-in candidate in a state that allows them to register as a write-in, the vote WILL be counted.

Thanks. That answered my question, although it wasn't what I wanted to hear.

I will abstain from voting for president this year for the first time since I started voting.

The bad guys have won.

Well, I never said you had to go and not vote at all  Vote for who you want, write-in someone, enough of them might send a signal, who knows? I'm not expecting any victories for any third party, my only hope is that the lp beats its alltime record. 5% would be a win, but I no longer think Barr can garner that much.

That's the way it is supposed to work, yes. Unfortunately, that's not always how it plays out in practice in different states.
