I was thinking about this the other day while discussing with a good friend of mine. My friend is a highly paid independent fee-only financial adviser who has a radio show and a consulting firm teaching people about investing.
But the crux of the discussion was that we all earn money.
But why do we earn money? We earn money for solving problems. Specifically we earn money for solving problems for someone else. In other words we get paid to solve problems in one way or another. Not only is this service to others, but it is coming up with solutions in the world.
Simply because there is money to be made, people are constantly trying to help others and find solutions to problems. Why? Because there is a profit potential. Solutions are being derived in an effort to earn money. Therefore capitalism or the free market drives progress.
