I'm thinking we should focus on the Ron Paul Convention this September instead. If you are far away and can only go to one, skip Washington DC.

Ron Paul will gather far more than 11,000 people then and the venue will need to be changed. It'd be awesome if we could fill the Target Center. :D

I dunno, just my two cents...

NO, NO, NO!!! Ron Paul already agreed to speak, and people have made arrangements to be at the march in Washington! Why do people keep trying to suggest that we just forget about the march in July??

Yes, it's too late to undo the summer DC march, especially as it was originally Paul's idea to begin with, and arrangements are all set. Just don't expect to see much more than 14,000 present, based on the current numbers pre-committed to attending.

The counter on revolutionmarch.com has been broken for months...there should be MANY more people who show up in Washington...

The "people bomb" is too broken up. Between the Gummy Denture Warriors, March on DC, and now the Ron Paul Convention.

It's all so stupid. If people can only attend one of these, it really needs to be in MN, blocks away from the National GOP Convention. All of the speakers should be going there.

People need to choose for themselves which they feel is most important, it is not up to us to decide, especially when there are attendees who do not use these forums. I don't see any particular advantages to any of them. All will be quickly forgotten and serve as little more then a pick-me-up for attendees. I will be at the DC march, but have no intention of going to the St. Paul rally.

Come on...

Considering all the work that certain people are doing to make this July 12th March a success - that is a really irresponsible thread to create at this point in the game.

I was going to only go to The March - Now I will find a way to do both.

We can make BOTH EVENTS huge successes.

Help Make It Happen!

I heard people who want to protest at the St. Paul convention won't even get near it. There's going to be tons of police.

This post indicates a lack of respect, and understanding, for the grassroots in general. IINM - Our Convention in SP will be miles from the RNC. The Grannies are going to have good event, and so are we.

There never was a "people bomb" idea and no-one cares about the media. The March will have an impact on our lawmakers in multiple ways. It will also have an impact on the 10s of 1000s of regular "tourists" who will be there anyway. And it will have an impact on us in multple ways, also.

This thread should never have been posted here in the March "planning" forum and, in fact, should have never been posted at all, as there is already this discussion going on here;

http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=142237

I am locking this thread, if anyone has a problem with that please PM, my solution will be to merge these two threads but that can be messy...

thanks
