Time magazine completely ignored our request to have Ron Paul as Man of the Year. They did not even list him as the most requested. I recommend canceling all subscriptions to Time Warner products.

I think that at this point, Putin has had a much greater effect on the world than Paul has.

Stop whining.

I knew it was a sham when they put Rudy as "person of the year" and not Bin Laden in 2001. It's not supposed to be "greatest good person of the year", it's the biggest, and most important newsmaker of the year. I mean they put Hitler as "person of the year" when the magazine had some balls.

Oh, and let's not forget the "person of the year" in 2006 when the winner was "you".

Well, I would expect this since communist dictators get runner up and Ex-K.G.B. actually win!!! Who knows how many deaths and tortures this guy is responsible for.

Whining? I can show you the definition if you want.

I guess you are happy with a anti-free speech, liberty hating fascist as man of the year.

I am not.

You are all pretty funny. Ron Paul get "Person of the year"? Get a grip on reality people. While it would have been nice, it would never have happened, not because Time magazine is biased, but because Ron Paul DOES NOT DESERVE to be Time person of the year.

Time Person of the Year is reserved for people that have had a major impact on the world, something Ron Paul has not done yet and will not do until he is president. I don't think a presidential candidate running for office has EVER been Person of the Year until he was finally elected. If there's any exceptions - then it's possibly because the candidate running was a former president or vice president.

Ron Paul DID HOWEVER make Time magazines "people that mattered" section in the same magazine! That is amazing really, he is one of only 3 candidates that were featured in that section. We should be proud that our candidate was in "people that mattered".

Grow up people, there's no way a candidate, let alone Ron Paul, was going to be named person of the year.

Umm...for evil. You'd think they would only give this to people who have had a positive effect on the world, not for who killed the most Chechn rebels.

Wow, you are all NOOBS that don't understand how Time magzine and it's person of the year work!

PERSON OF THE YEAR IS ABOUT PEOPLE THAT HAVE HAD A MAJOR IMPACT ON THE WORLD, WHETHER IT BE GOOD OR BAD.

ADOLF HITLER WAS PERSON OF THE YEAR SEVERAL TIMES. AS WAS JOSEPH STALIN. AS WAS GEORGE W BUSH. JUST BECAUSE THEY MAKE PERSON OF THE YEAR DOES NOT MEAN THEY WERE A GOOD PERSON THAT THE MAGAZINE SUPPORTS.

You are all being incredibly ridiculous, if I have to actually defend Time magazine, owned by a corporation I absolutely detest.

Did you read the article before insulting other people? Person of the Year is NOT a popularity contest. Look at the history of Person of the year...

1938 – Adolf Hitler
1942 – Josef Stalin
1985 – Deng Xiaoping

And here a TIME-quote

Why We Chose Putin

TIME's Person of the Year is not and never has been an honor. It is not an endorsement. It is not a popularity contest. At its best, it is a clear-eyed recognition of the world as it is and of the most powerful individuals and forces shaping that world—for better or for worse. It is ultimately about leadership—bold, earth-changing leadership.

No matter how many times reasonable people say stuff like this, it won't change these wierdos minds.

It's the same thing with Huckabee saying "Paul is dead when you play the commercial backwards" in reference to the whole cross in the window thing. People are always going to see something way beyond what's really there.
