Can someone verify this?

I just read somewhere that McCain technically can still loose the nomination, as he supposedly only has 658 committed delegates? Which means that we're still in this? Can someone please verify this for me?

Correct his delegate count is virtual not actual remember there are very few actual delegates chosen. Luckily for us Ron Paul is a Republican which serves us well as The Democrats have SuperDelegates party insoders that take up almost a third of the slots. Which makes the Democrats a hard party to take over from the establishment.

But then we're still technically in this? We can still technically win the nomination...?

It's technically possible to eat your kitten, and in a bizarre turn of events, have that event indirectly cause you to become CEO of Intel - which will be bought out and liquidized by AMD one week later - AND then have that indirectly cause you to have an elegant candlelight dinner with Ralph Nadar - who eats a big plate of synthetic beef patties.

But yeah, it's possible.

We're technically in this thing until the roll call at the convention, no matter how many delegates McWar gets.

Where have you been for the last 3 months. I think this has been talked about alot.

Time will tell. We all have the obligation to find out how our state selects delegates and try to be one. This spring and summer when most states have their conventions we will find out our real national delegate numbers. Whether we are bound or unbound, pledged or unpledged, if you can go as a McCain delegate then do it.

I keep hearing stories of how people are not wanting to pledge support to McCain. If we want to win on a 4th or 5th ballot at national, WE need to be the McCain delegates.
