Fellow Supporters,

I am a believer in what Ron Paul has to say. I started paying attention to the doctor only six short months ago. His message has changed the way that I think about, well, everything. I have contributed money to the campaign and I have convinced some family members to do the same, but I haven't felt like I have done enough.

So in some sort of penance, tonight I called a talk radio station in Ohio to speak about the economy. This station is one which is notorious for touting the republican line. I am not sure that I did a good job, but I had the expert agree with me. :D

I am a shy person and have not canvassed. I encourage all to do anything that they can to spread Dr. Paul's message. The ultimate goal is to infiltrate the Republican party and have a voice in their forums.

That was awesome. You didn't sound shy at all. :D Hah. Does that guy usually stutter?

Are we talking about the ever famous 'Tri-City' A.M. radio station, 700 WLW?

Cheers! The shyness will disappear with age. :)

Congrats on calling in. I know it can be a nerving circumstance, but... You withstood the trial-by-fire. You are capable of canvassing I bet. :)

Isn't that station on XM? I thought tere was a WLW station on there.

Yes they are on XM Channel 173. I am not sure if talk radio is important across the country, but in Cincinnati, a ton of people listen to this station. They are anchored by libertarian-leaning centrist Mike McConnell and the hannity-loving, ultra-hateful Bill Cunningham

Meh, I've listened to Bill Cunningham sub for Sean Shammity...I don't think to highly of him. But, alas I listen to Hannity to know what the enemy thinks. ;)

Yep. 700 WLW is on XM radio, and on AM radio 700 in the Cincy area, for all those interested. :)

Mike McConnell is decent, but who I really, REALLY liked when they had him on there was Bill Boshears. He was AWESOME. I liked it when he had Larry Nicols as a guest on his show.

you nailed it, i feel the same frustration. I was angered when I woke up and saw the Fed lowered the interest rate.

So glad you faced your fear and made the call. See it wasn't as bad as you were expecting, was it?

I keep touting on here that people should concentrate on their local press, that way the mainstream media blackout doesn't hurt us all that much.

My local MeetUp group got Ron Paul an HOUR of free air time by taking turns calling into our local talk radio show. It really isn't hard to do. Pick an issue and then start calling in to discuss it. Most local radio shows never have their caller boards all lit up so when it happens they run with it.
