Opinion piece on Bailout in today's San Francisco Chronicle calls for General Strike

Our government and its owners appear to be testing how much the American public will tolerate. A few years ago, no one could have imagined that the silent majority would quietly accept thefts of this magnitude from a government that stopped tiny payments to single mothers with poor children in the name of welfare reform because the program's $10 billion cost was breaking the federal budget.

This isn't socialism, it's fascism.

Our enemy has revealed itself, and it is our own government. The concentration of such outrageous power in government - the power to take the equivalent of half our annual federal budget and give it to anonymous investors - is nearly reaching the point at which it may not be revoked.

Because the American public has not been introduced to methods for controlling its government for generations for generations, I will suggest one called a general strike. This fundamental democratic power is where everyone decides to send a message to the government by not going to work, to school, shopping, nowhere.

I would love a general strike, but wouldn't that hurt our already shit Economy?

So it kinda wouldn't help us out.

IT would break it to the point where we remake it in the eyes of truely an open market geared towards listening to the public demands and supply...

It doesn't matter at this point. We're all going to be hurt by this, and more so if we don't stop them NOW! Something like this would really get the point across!

1. Pressure the media and it's advertisers
2. Call, visit, fax, and email the house and the senate
3. Do this general strike
4. What else?

5. Any General Strike must be peaceful. Alert everyone to agent prevaricators who have or will infiltrate any General Strike or March on Washington. Make the tyrants behave like tyrants. And record anything.

Better to have our recession now than leave a worse one for our kids. I'm ready for the ride! Let's get this over with! When do we revolt?

I think we need one really good PDF flyer, and a really simply website where people can signup for email and text msg alerts. That's all.

The main thing is getting people together to distribute the message so this goes viral.

Yeah, we must DIGG it, blog it, hopefully get it on the C4L and Dailypaul Blogs, make youtube videos.

Have we thought of an exact date yet?

None of the above will do any good if we continue to comply with our masters. We slaves need to simply stop complying with the bullshit. All the faxing and emailing campaigns in the world will not do a damn bit of good, they do what they want despite the American people. Changing D.C. is impossible, now we must simply stop complying with their demands.

Also, buy some gold!

That wouldn't be a protest for the bailout because Nov. 5th is in 40 something days.

Most of the people who agree with the bailout will forget any of this happened by then.

Ah, no, trust me they won't forget at all, because this is only the start. There are more and bigger bailouts yet to come.
