CNN just reporting that CA unemployment went up to 11.2 percent in March from 10 percent in Feb.

Don't worry, everything is getting better.

What will it be next month?

if you count underemployment, it is probably more around 20% (rough guess).

Right you are. They are just talking about that. They just said and it is expected to go up higher.

1 in 9 out of a job and climbing.

Don't worry the dollar is doing great and financial institutions have gained a foothold and are profiting again

How naive can our country be??

Tent city grows

again. Demonstrates a strong economy in Cali, so strong 11.2 percent of the people just retired.

CNBC now talking about people want higher rates to buy treasuries.

BOOM if that is what is starting to happen.

Count me in your unemployment number. Well, I'm not unemployed yet, but I will likely soon be once my FMLA coverage is over. In retrospect, I really wish I hadn't opted for FMLA coverage in the first place so they could just go ahead and let me go. I'll have to tell y'all the story sometime about my FMLA in 2007, I had to get "parsnippity" with HR to tell them I wasn't interested in the coverage, the lady all but ordered me to fill out the forms... which I refused to do anyway.

Well... Like othes that questioned my sarcasm on the California Unemployed...

Like hitting these Liberal Leftist Socialists/Communists in the side of the head with a BRICK to realize how taxes and giant gilded government burden will destroy any society. Hey; Pelosi, Feinstein, Boxer... just ask the Roman Empire

Drive out the businesses with Fees/Taxes/Regulations...
Massive Social Entitlements burden all to buy votes...
Massive Grafting Government and THEIR power unions...
Voting the riches for themselves active duty and retirements...

Then looking to the other 49 states to bail them out. Hypocrites, but it's the people that throw recklessness to the wind all for like, one ideology or special interest.

Well, That brick is coming hard and fast... I hope it knocks some sense into the people of California AKA... Gateway to Servitude.

The Problem is these parties spending as much time now, covering up their problems with propaganda as they have creating the problems. Cause & Effect... when will they learn?

PS: Did you hear? To curb the Shortfalls in budget... the state will be cutting more education and children programs. Did Sacramento cut the political government pay, perks, & entitlements? Nope, they increased them, for 2009.

Democratic voters cannot see that? Shows yah their philosophy and/or ignorance. I guess all the growing tent cities throughout California weren't a RED FLAG?

H,

I think you just covered the bases. IMHO until they get rid of Pelosi, and NV gets rid of Reid along with the others you mentioned, we are all in trouble.

Anyone buying this rally?

There are going to be some people hurt when this crashes. Everyone is commenting on how strange this rally is, and even the stock exchange is commenting it is a small group of traders causing this rise.

I might be wrong, but I think the smaller investors have wised up, and will let the big boys kill themselves. The only problem is, when they do, this market is going to tank like nothing anyone has seen before. My thoughts.

If a few or the quant funds blows it is going to get ugly. They are trying to eat each other up.

I like to eat Barracuda. They are one of my favorite, and great tasting.

This is unlike anything I have seen in my lifetime. It is just trying to surrive right now. The system is so corrupt it should burn. The small guy, who doesn't pay attention, doesn't stand a chance IMHO.

CA unemployment jumps to 11.2% way to GP; Pelosi, FeinStein, Boxer, Waters, Waxman...

Sarge,

All these professionals...
All these Propagandists...
All these government manipulators...

These current US markets have all the indications and movement of the 1990's Japanese markets.

Like getting hit in the head with a brick while your jogging... causes you to stumble as you stagger sideways as tweetie birds and stars circle your head.

Do you know how to play the 1990's Jap markets? That's what we now have, but a major caveat! The US has Trillions in Debt, Practically no reserves, A Trade Deficit, Millions unemployed, $100's Billions in Lost Revenue (taxes/Fees) AND Massive entitlements. Can you say, Lead Anchor?

I guarantee you right now... y'all thought the Patriot Act and FISA were a big violation and illegal action against the people and Constitution? Wait until the Barry, That Weasel Emanuel, Bernake, Turbo Tax Timmy, and the Kenyesian Minion Team, start pulling all kinds of ILLEGAL FINANCIAL actions to say face.
It's coming, it's just what the hell kind of schemes and scams do they have planned? maybe this G20/IMF nonsense? TPTB pulling some circus stunt? Iran Nuked, N Korea, UK Bankruptcy?

They are going to do something, because this is unsustainable. here's an example...

Hey, let me run up all my credit cards to $10's of thousands each, borrow 500% against all assets, and spend it on the future that is at 1/6 efficiency. What's the outcome... Duh, Nancy Pelosi?

Investing in the future... I still shake my head in disgust how these idiots get into to power and running the country?

If you can't tell... I'm still in pissy mood from having to shake Michael Reagan's hand. I cannot stand that POS, especially riding the coattails of his dad, and completely disrespecting Ron Paul. Plus, Schiff is starting to rub off on me... ;)

H and all take a look at this,

Wow that is atleast a couple million people. imagine everyone at the presidential party thing where 100,000 people showed up and multiply that by 20 and that is could be the amount of people who are unemployed in California. It could even be higher. and think about the entire US...there would probably be so many that we wouldn't even be able to see the end of them if they were all in a group.

It stinks being a kid right now, going to college next year. I fear for my job and I don't even have one yet :( .

Recessions/Depressions don't last forever. Keep this in mind. :)

Recessions / Depressions are nothing more than a Tool used to separate man from his wealth. Look at how many banks have gone belly up and have been taken over since this crap started. History repeats itself.

This Tool is Slavery thru the control of money.

Ouch, that's a pretty big monthly increase, especially when combined with all of the unemployment increases in prior months.
