"Burma Shave" Sign Idea (this WILL be noticed)

Ok, so the sign ordinances can be a little tricky, right? Here's a way around it.

"Burma Shave" type signs held up by ACTUAL PEOPLE standing beside the roadway!

This requires 7 volunteers at a time.

Step #1. Make seven signs:

a) Insanity is.....

b) Doing the same thing....

c) Over and over.....

d) And expecting....

e) Different results...

f) Vote different....

g) Ron Paul 2008

STEP #2 Find a busy road and get out there!

Tips: Make sure each person stands at least a few hundred yards from the previous sign. The sequential message is what really makes this approach effective.

For a little history on the Burma Shave signs you can read about it on Wikipedia here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burma_shave.

Now if you REALLY want to add a little icing on the cake:

Have an 8th person standing a little further after the previous signs with one last sign that reads: " Questions? Stop ahead."

Then have someone in a parking lot just up the road with a small table set up with Ron Paul Flyers and other literature and even bumper stickers.

It WILL work. It WILL get attention (more so than just the standard campaign sign stuck in the ground). It WON'T work if nobody does it.

Ron Paul's campaign doesn't have $50 million like Obama and Hillary. We need to think outside the box and get more bang for our buck.

Take the initiative. Just do it.

Love the Burma Shave approach!

How about signs more specifically to Dr. Paul:

Pro-life, taxpayers best friend, upholds Just War Theory, etc.

But it needs to be a coherent message, as in you can put it together and it makes sense and it's slightly humorous. Traditionally it should rhyme too. That's what makes Burma-Shave signs so legendary.

They should probably be white on red and Ron Paul should be in legible script.

Or maybe I'm going too far with the nostalgic idea now.

Supper idea

I love this concept, it worked 60 years ago and therefore it will be a new and powerful concept now. Keep them rhyming and 5 or more signs long. That will peak there curiosity more.

1)Taxes

2)Wars

3)Illegals

4)and all

5)What's the answer?

6)Vote Ron Paul!

An alternate version can replace "Illegals" with "Big Government"

Great slogans! Pick one you like and do it!

It would be great if someone would do this and then post it on YouTube!

I think it's important the slogan rhymes. I think the more it sticks with the traditional nostalgia, the more it will be noticed. Besides, rhymes are catchier and stick with people longer, and tend to be more humorous for effect.

1) Liberty

2) Freedom

3) Heed the Call

4)Restore the Constitution

5)Vote Ron Paul

The whole idea is wonderful, but I especially love your idea oldpaths! There's absolutely nothing that any rational person would find objectionable here, and it sure is catchy.

sounds like a great way to recycle those old, used up, worn out yard signs that people leave laying around on the sides of the road :D
