Why does he claim such a thing. He seems to be claiming it but is it at all true?

Alex makes tons of stupid claims, unfortunately.

He is always banging on about Google censoring him too, when it's clearly not the case.

Alex Jones is making sensational amounts of money.

I dunno about him. I find it amazing that the government allows him to keep squawkin...or the bankers. I like him sometimes, but why hasn't anyone shut him down? tones

Do you have any proof of this? It does not appear to me that he is making a lot. He tells everyone to pirate his movies and make free copies.

People say he just lives in a normal neighborhood in Austin.

And if you are in Britain and search for prison planet Google is now not showing a preview of the website. They are just showing the title "Prison Planet" and the url prisonplanet.com. Usually this happens when site is being punished somehow.

This probably means his rankings for many keywords are not as high as they should be.

There is an ad on the bottom of this thread entitled: "The FAITH of Barack Obama"

alex jones needs to write an cheesy obama book if he wants to get rich.

Sigh.

Google are not censoring Alex Jones. They don't do that sort of thing.

If Alex (or you) were bothered, you would research the subject instead of jumping to insane conclusions.

1. Why would anyone search for 'prison planet' in Google except people already accustomed to and fans of Alex Jones. What would be the purpose of 'censoring' Alex's website for this search term.

The way Alex has his title setup in his HTML is <title>prison planet - Google Search</title> - this could be a contributing factor.

Also, there is no text on the front page except for individual story snippets - Google would be unwise to use these as a 'preview'/website description none of the text on the front page would accurately describe his website, therfore it may be opting (automatically) to display no preview text or description at all.

Alex could include a tag on his HTML code with his own Description/Preview text which Google could pick up on and use to describe his site, plus if he added some text that wasn't part of a news story snippet it would probably be used in the description. For examply 'Prison planet is a website that offers information on fighting the new world order' near the top of the page and AWAY from the news story snippets.

I cannot be bothered finishing this post as I'm wasting my time on someone like you who believes Google is actively censoring Alex Jones.

Alex will also be making tons of money. He always claims he loses money on his DVD sales etc (which I do not believe for a second) and makes out he's nearly going broke, but it's likely the advertising on his radio show is where a lot of money is too. If you look in to his business records (assuming they're public in the USA) you would probably see he makes a very nice living indeed.

Ummm, from first and second hand experience, I can tell you he is making an average middle class living.

If you're thinking he's making a 400 million dollar Limbaugh living, you are sadly mistaken.

And since when did making a living become a crime, or rather some sign of "impurity"?

Revere and Paine and Franklin charged money for their works and revolutionary writings.

Alex Jones is a true hero of mine, even moreso than ron paul.

IMO he is the true leader of the revolution. Ron Pauls campaign was essentially fueled by Alex's support, and advertising of ron paul imo.

I do believe there has been alot of censorship goign down against infowars, and prison planet, especially in britain. I can present several specific cases if you really want me to, however im not convinced google is for sure.

I simply dont know enough about google algorithm, to make a fair assessment on that particular claim of "censorship".

pure speculation.

I live in Britain and have never experienced ANY censoring of ANY kind on ANY of Alex's websites etc. It's very egotistical for Alex to claim this censoring is going on, but the fact is, it's probably just a marketing ploy and 'we're under attack' sort-of thing to rally his listeners etc. Think about it.

Why the heck would Britain censor anything of Alex Jones? What would be the purpose? Why just Alex? Why not others? Think about it. It's not happening. Alex is using this in a similar way he used the millenium bug nonsense to stoke up paranoia and alarm etc. It's good business.

Present your several cases of Alex Jones censorship in the UK please.

There is nothing wrong with making a living nor earning tons of money. I never said there was.

There is something wrong with Alex claiming he makes a pittance and loses money on a lot of the stuff he does (in a way that manipulates his listeners in to purchasing his guests stuff and his own, it borders upon pleading and begging). That's just flatout dishonest and one thing I don't like about him.

However I do give him props for being entertaining and I do enjoy his shows, most of the time. Especially when he goes off on one.

Google are not censoring Alex Jones. They don't do that sort of thing.

I'll tell you what they did do. They reset the number of views his videos had a few times so that they'd drop down the list (off the front page, or off the top 100 list, whatever)... effectively decreasing the likelihood that someone would stumble upon his videos. I saw this with my own eyes when he released Terror Storm.

I think that, overall, Alex means well, but his passion or what he does and his personality always seems to get the best of him, and he tends to make overly sensational claims (and jump to conclusions way too soon...or label something as "this is going to happen" instead of "this is a possibility").

I don't like his sensationalism, as it only makes people who dislike him hate him even more, especially when he's wrong. I'd bet you anything he'd be able to convince a lot more people if he settled down, just presented the facts and documents (and no opinions, or very little...and the ones he did offer were made clear that they were opinions), and didn't get so up-tight all the time (though I do think some of his ravings are warranted).

I like the guy, but at other times, I just can't stand to listen to him (depends on what he's covering/talking about, etc). I'm glad he's around, and I wouldn't wish, for a moment, any form of ill on him, but sometimes...I just need a break from him.

This is unlikely.

What is likely is that his videos were flagged by users (to the average person Alex's videos are not liked at all) and thus removed, demoted or whatever. Automatically. This is far from censorship. You could say it's free market. ;)

I had a video in the number 1 spot of Google Video and it stayed there for weeks receiving millions of views, then all of a sudden it dropped out.

I put it down to users flagging the video as innapropriate or whatever and the automated algorythms removing it or shifting it down a notch, effectively knocking it out of the top 100.

Google do not censor videos in the way Alex suggests, for the reasons he suggests. It is bunk!

I like him, he says a lot of good things. Sometimes I get the feeling he makes some stuff up.

He's aight' though. ;)
