Former CIA man Bob Barr, who supported the War on Drugs, supported a Federal ban on medical marijuana, and voted FOR the Patriot Act, has now moved to show his support for Algore's carbon credits.

http://www.moonbattery.com/archives/2008/07/alleged_liberta.html

Voting for (treasonous) Bob Barr is a vote for Barack Hussein (global citizen) Obama, and everyone here knows that. Do NOT let Bob (CIA) Barr hijack the Revolution.

May your chains rest lightly upon you if you vote for Baaaaa baaaaaaa Barr.

I hope all the people on this forum who support him are just shills, because I thought there were Patriots here. Remember, you don't HAVE to vote for the perceived lesser of the evils. Working within the system never changes the system.

The tree of liberty is getting dry, and will soon need to be watered.

Lol...

Thank you for your insight, sirgonzo420.

You're afraid of the "Revolution" being hijacked, but promote violence instead of working with the political system? I'm afraid that's not what this movement is about at all :(

I move to annul said troll-calling, even though the OP exaggerates.

I'm voting for Barr. Clearly the best candidate on the ballot and the most viable non-McBama choice.

I'm not a troll; I'm just calling for an end to naivety. Bob Barr is not a good option. Take a look at his record. Is a vote for him not just a vote for Obama? Are you really that naive? You can vote until you are blue in the face and just see how that helps. If voting changed anything, we wouldn't be allowed to do it!

It's not who votes that counts, it's who counts the votes!

And as far as my tree of liberty comment, can anyone here deny that the tree of liberty thirsts? Can you honestly say that the Founders of this country would sit idly by and do nothing? Why do you think Bush has 100,000 acres in Paraguay?

By the way, it's funny to me how because I don't post often (but lurk everyday and have since this forum started), and you don't like what I have to say, I am labeled a 'troll'. Great way to deal with differing opinions.

13 posts? Troll.

You're right OP, I guess it would be better for there to be one less candidate talking about liberty.

I agree. I am also very surprised and disappointed that so many people on this forum are so willing to sacrifice principle for what they perceive as political gain (although you wont even get political gain!). Some of them even sound exactly like the republicans we were fighting against in the primaries: "You have to support the party!" "I know he's not perfect, but at least he's not x."

If it makes you feel any better, almost every single RP revolutionary I know in real life (and I know quite a lot of them) thinks Barr is repulsive. I think a lot of people on these forums don't get out very much, and kind of fall into a group think mentality with the others here. Lately the group has been thinking that Barr is a good candidate. They even go so far as to label someone (like you) a troll if they say something bad about Barr. I'm not sure if they are genuinely confused about the definition of "troll", are they are just trying to discredit people with ad hominem attacks.

THANK YOU for being reasonable.

I'm offended that I'm being called a troll because I don't like a fake libertarian candidate.

CIA.... for Drug war... voted FOR THE PATRIOT ACT..... supports CARBON CREDITS....

He's a LINO --- Libertarian In Name Only

Again, I'm glad you think it's best to have one less liberty minded candidate in the race. I don't.

Nobody hijacks the Libertarian Party because there isn't anything there to hijack. I think Barr really did change his opinion on all those issues because if he truly didn't, there would be no reason to sign his political death certificate by joining the Libertarian Party.

I'm voting for Barr to pledge my support for the Libertarian party. The party that promotes economic and social freedom. Barr is not my first choice, but he is better known and will get more exposure for the long term of our party.

He hasn't been a Libertarian in the past, but he seems to have made a genuine reversal on his prior f**k ups.

I see your concern, but who would you rather I support? The Theocrat Baldwin? I'd rather we all throw support behind the Libertarian party, but then again a strong showing for both of the parties this November is a slap in the face of the traditional dem versus repub battle.

Since Barr obviously can't win, I don't really see the point of attacking him. Same with Chuck Baldwin. Vote your conscience, and let others do the same.

We're all in this together. I'm pullin' for ya. Keep yer stick on the ice.

I call troll

Just because I don't have as much time to post on the internet (how productive) as you? Bob Barr is a joke.... why can't you see that? Alan Keyes is still in the race as far as I am concerned. Keyes is an infinitely better candidate, and has the exact same chance of winning.

Not to mention,

No child left behind
Creating the department of homeland security
Defence of marriage act
A lifelong history of changing political positions when it helps him gain more power.

What about Obama? He would call himself a liberty-minded candidate.

I understand what your point is, but many people are LIARS and FRAUDS and CONTROLLED OPPOSITION. Don't be naive..... voting for Barr is voting for Obama. Obama is all about change.... why don't you just vote for him?

I'm just saddened when I get called a troll because I am trying to wake people here up. I'm glad you see Barr for what he is.

Everyone here needs to ask themselves: How much success do we really expect to see from voting?

Do you really think America can 'vote' her way out of the mess she is in?
