Everyone in the news is saying that Bob Barr could cost McCcain the election because he will take votes away. I say this is exactly what he should do and cost McCain the election. By this happening, it will show the Republicans that indeed they have lost their way and that without supporting the Constitution, limited government, ect, they will not be able to take back the presidency. By doing this it will send a strong message to the party that they have to change.

He is running to take away votes from McCain and hand the Democrats the presidency.

McCain does not need help losing votes. He lost 24% of the vote in Idaho the other day. And the wave behind the primary season is landing more and more on the side of liberty and saying a F YOU to both parties.

edit. wait wasnt closer to 29%?

Only John McCain can cost John McCain the election.

Exacty.

This seems to resonate with the comments that I hear about Ross Periot throwing the the election. I get sort of tired of people complaning about someone who gave us more of a choice. (I wish that I had voted for Ross Periot).

Well, technically:

Barr has received the LP nomination before "presumptive" nominee McCain and "presumptive" nominee Obama/Clinton.

Therefore...

Either one of them accepting the nomination for their party and running in the general election would cost Barr the win and therefore they are the spoilers!! :D

None of the above. Barr should attack

BOTH Obama and McCain. He needs to run a campaign situated to say:

I am centrist oriented. Freedom is threatened by the others. Barr is the only alternative.

Strong attacks are necessary(perhaps if there is one thing WAR can do, it is smear tactics...again and again and again...). Otherwise, the media will not notice him.

Either way, a strong portion of his support will come from McCain. He needs to cost McCain the election though, to be part of paving the way for the RPR Revolution.

Bob Barr should attack McCain because McCain is a candidate of another party and Barr should fight to win the election. Any changes to the Republican Party after the election might be gravy depending upon the changes that are made.
