Here is a thought, someone should make an automated calling program to distribute to the meetups. Meetups could feed in local phone number lists and play a recorded Ron Paul message. Probably could work on a pc using skype, very easy and cheap.

Thoughts?

More detail how to

I think this would generate a lot of negative impressions.

no doubt it would create some, but so does putting signs up everwhere, and so does some of the literature put out, and so does knocking on someone's door, but we are still doing it to get the word out, and so would the fax campaign, etc... But we do it to get the word out. And most political campaigns do it, and they must do it for a reason, because it works. I certainly knew Ken Blackwell's name here in Ohio from this.

It requires no manpower and would cost next to nothing. I saw on youtube a guy did it for call Iowaon his PC using skype. I'm trying to find the video.

One of the things I HATE about politicans and others of their ilk is the use of AUTODIALERS!!!!! Especially those with recorded messages!!! BAD IDEA!! Well intentioned, maybe, but still BAD IDEA!! If the Paul campaign contacts me through an autodialer, I an asking for my money back.

I don't understand what is so bad about getting a short message on your answering machine? Don't understand why so many people want to be so cautious when the biggest problem is most people never heard of Ron Paul. Anyways I won't pursue it further if it really ruffles people's feathers that much. Personally I'd rather get the word out.

A lot of people hat the paint the town ron signs, say its littering. guesse we better stop that too.

I think most people have about as much respect for an autodialer message as they do for spam.

The way I see it one of the greatest strengths of the Ron Paul Revolution is the fact that so many of us are willing to help with things like the Call Iowa program.

The candidates that are selected by large corporations don't have large numbers of committed volunteers. I would rather let them make everybody mad by using the autodialers while we actually respect people by calling, writing, or visiting them ourselves.

That is just my opinion.
