An interesting story... The government does NOT think gold is money?

Here's an interesting vid about the petrodollar and provides the motivation for a lot of seemingly bizarre ideas. Like why not recognize gold, why attack Iraq and Iran.

It also applies to China and the other cheap labor mercantile economies of Asia.

The major export for the USA is $ and treasury debt which it can create at will. Not a bad deal until the music stops.

This is why we're looking into so many alternative fuel sources now - ones that can be controlled closer to home, like ethanol, especially - Iran, Venezuela, and others have said they are looking into dealing oil in Euros...

Interesting read, reminds me of the Larken Rose story. This guy was acquitted in the federal trial here........

One of my favorite quotes was gleaned from that article:

"You can kid yourself and say I'm only going along because they have all the guns, but day by day, year by year, your integrity erodes. Finally, you become like the tyrants: just one more liar." --Franklin Sanders
