Not paying taxes hasn't been shown effective to reduce government. It probably increases the size of government because people think they can get a dollar's worth of government for 75 cents. https://www.cato.org/sites/cato.org/files/serials/files/cato-journal/2006/11/cj26n3-8.pdf
Agorism seems very hippyish and really inefficient. I would rather just pay the sales tax and get what I want at Wal-Mart, instead of having to live on a commune buying and selling tchotchkes from other hippies.
I feel like the snowboarding guy in the video is the perfect symbol agorism.
Agorist: "I'll show you government. I'll live a subsistence life and make so little money, you'll get nothing. I'll snowboard all day."
Government: "Okay. You didn't pay any taxes to begin with. I'll just raise the taxes on Warren Buffett by 1/eight millionth of a percent to make up for all the lost revenue from you hippies."
