The college in our town (Purdue) has a game with Iowa next week. In addition to canvassing the whole place and putting signs up everywhere, we want to rent an airplane to pull a Ron Paul banner for two hours.

All this isn't so much to convince Indiana folk to vote (Our primary is so late that we are effectively useless), but to convince any visiting Iowa fans, as well as out of state students so they could spread the word once go home for winter break or whatever.

The plane costs ~$1200 and so far we haven't raised enough money to cover it. I hate to be asking the fine folks on this forum for support, but I don't know of an alternative. Now, if we don't raise enough for the plane, most of the money will be going toward radio ads for Paul during Illinois' primary (A few stations here cover large portion of Illinois), so your money will not be squandered. However, if you prefer, I can arrange for your money to refunded or donated to the campaign instead.

Or, if there are better suggestions or alternatives, we can forgo the airplane and do some other promotional method.

University of Michigan, Ohio State, Iowa, Purdue, hmmm

Does this make the Big Ten the most patriotic college football conference? I'd like to see some competition from the SEC!!

Good luck with it. It's certainly good for exposure though the price seems high. Have you tried shopping around at all?

We're too busy flying banners protesting the head coach for the University of Arkansas (not that there's anything wrong with that).

That'll change if I have anything to say about it (check out the "Politics and Religion" section). It will be a gradual process, but those Youtube videos are the shiznit.

If you're doing this to reach the Iowa people why not do it the week after in Iowa? There will only be a couple thousand Iowa people at the Purdue game, but there is always 100,000+ Iowans in or around Kinnick on game day.
