"Early in the morning we were real busy moving signs," Brady said. "Someone came out (Monday) night after work was done and put Ron Paul signs in almost every polling place.
"So we had to remove a lot of those. And there were some various other signs, but it seemed like the Ron Paul signs sprung up overnight right next to most of the polling places."
Ron Paul is a Republican congressman from Texas is running for president who has a decidedly Libertarian bent.
Other than that, Brady said, the election went smoothly. County clerks in Henderson, Union and Webster counties made the same report.
Henderson County Clerk Renny Matthews said there were some instances of signs and electioneering within 300 feet of polling places, which is against the law, and sheriff's deputies responded to each instance of a complaint.
