5.0 quake: Southern Iran on Wed, 8 Jan 02h20

That's some curious timing...

Comments under the "I felt it" report on that site:

  • Borazjan: This was not an earthquake, explosion and shockwave it nightmare (MMI VIII (Severe shaking))
  • : it feel like bomb no earthquake god help us (MMI IX (Violent shaking))
  • Shiraz: Saw a bright flashing light, followed by lots of shaking. (MMI V (Moderate shaking))

I have no idea whether the site is reliable.

They have a lot of earthquakes, so I'm not putting on the tinfoil hat just yet (but it's on standby).

Probably deepstate assets trying to escape the change in the power structure unfolding in Iran:

There might be a power struggle between warmongers and peaceniks in Iran now that the head of the warmongers is dead.

And the IRGC has always had competition from MOIS:

What neither side knew was that there was a spy in the summit. Iran’s MOIS, a rival of the Revolutionary Guards within the Iranian national security apparatus, secretly had an agent in the meeting who reported everything that was discussed. The MOIS agent not only attended but “acted as coordinator of this meeting,” according to the MOIS cable. The MOIS envied the Revolutionary Guards’ power and influence and secretly tried to keep track of the Guards’ activities around the world, the leaked archive shows.
