Democratic nominee Senator Barack Obama is the winner of the 2008 Scholastic Election Poll, with 57% of the vote over Republican contender Senator John McCain, who received 39% of the student vote

4% of students voted for other candidates, the highest percentage of write-in votes in the history of the poll. Student write-ins included Senator Hillary Clinton, Congressman Ron Paul, Independent candidate Ralph Nader, and a handful of votes for television personality Stephen Colbert.

I heard about this on the radio, and found it pretty interesting. Do you suppose kids are thinking independently or mimicking their parents? (I know I mimicked my elders till I knew what was going on)

96% voting D or R is NOT independent. It's another dipshit generation. BTW why wasn't I given a ballot?

Every kid I know in college is a ron paul supporter..

During primary season when I was Paul-Obsessed (not like I"m not NOW) my 4 year old was a staunch Huckabee supporter. :)
