My letter:

"Dear Sirs and Madam," for The Senate Banking Committee

"Dear Representative," for my personal reps

I must as a taxpayer express my absolute disagreement with the proposed Bill for the bailout of companies that have mismanaged their assets.

If credit flow to maintain the solvency and operation of "Main Street" is an immediate concern, then you should, in part, use the funds to:

1: Create an emergency fund that banks can draw on to exclusively maintain the flow of credit.

2: Use part of the funds for capital loans to encourage new Banking and lending facilities with virgin balance sheets to be created by private entities.

3: Reverse legislation that has encouraged the growth of the use of Derivatives in the financial markets.

To reward improper actions by certain financial entities is unconscionable.
They should be held accountable for their actions as every other business entity is.
To require your constituents to fund their salvation would be a sin of the highest order.

Regards,
Rev. Mark Cahall
