Are there any homesteader or off the grid people who frequent this forum. How do you guys deal with property taxes? Do you have a job or do little things around town to make some cash to at least pay your property taxes? Do you have investments that generate income? Do you guys think there...

It appears that there have been shenanigans in home and land sales. Sellers have secretly separated the top of the land from what is underneath. You may only own the topsoil. No wells for you.

We pay property taxes, which means we are paying to have that land. Basically, the government makes us pay rent so we can have our own land. This is clearly a tactic to regulate what we do. Does it not?
