    Freedom living and property taxes

Are there any homesteader or off the grid people who frequent this forum. How do you guys deal with property taxes? Do you have a job or do little things around town to make some cash to at least pay your property taxes? Do you have investments that generate income? Do you guys think there...

Do you really own your land, or just the topsoil?

It appears that there have been shenanigans in home and land sales. Sellers have secretly separated the top of the land from what is underneath. You may only own the topsoil. No wells for you.

What is your take on capitis diminutio maxima & maritime law. Also, quote by Col. House.

As is inevitable, my reading is taking me to the notion that we are chattel and used as collateral. Been reading about things such as: capitis diminutio maxima, and the maritime law and how we, as birthed thru our mothers womb (water), we are subject to the Maritime Law. Then further reading...

Together, can we buy a small country?

Just as the slaves in the old days bought their own freedom, can we? Together, raising funds from liberty seekers across the world, can we raise enough capital to buy a small country? Could do it similar to a kickstarter type thing. The money would only charged when the deal to buy a country...

"If roads were private, we'd have to pay a new toll every time we got on a new road!"

"If roads were private, we'd have to pay a new toll every time we got on a new road!" Yeah, well I just drove from Norwich, CT back to Northern Virginia today, and I didn't even switch roads and still got hit for multiple tolls, so STFU about private roads and tolls. Plus, you'd think they'd...

Property taxes, sovereignty, and common law

http://thecoloredsky.blogspot.com/2011/12/biggest-red-pill-you-cant-swallow.html I don't post much on my blog but this latest entry might strike a tone with the 'sovereignty' crowd. It's mainly a giant question on WHY things are like they seem. Some people have figured out the answer and I'm...

Anyone ever try buying their land from the local gov't?

I was wondering if anyone's actually tried buying their land from the town to have a meaningful deed in the sense that taxes aren't due on the property, or if it's even possible. I'm considering contacting the town's government for a hearing on purchasing my land from them (there are no...

Do we actually even have property rights anymore?

We pay property taxes, which means we are paying to have that land. Basically, the government makes us pay rent so we can have our own land. This is clearly a tactic to regulate what we do. Does it not?

Help me out here. Did the Treaty of Paris grant allodial title to the United States, or to the 13 states. If the latter, who held title to non-state lands east of the mississippi river? The Articles of Confederation doesn't reference allodial title but merely that the states have...

    Allodial Title

Just want to know a little bit more about it. First thing is first, I already know enough to know it is good to have, and you can get in Texas, but how do you get it there? If you have other information about it, I would like to know that as well.
