I got this idea from a different thread.
I decided I could contribute what I currently give to my 401k to the Ron Paul campaign for the duration. . . I think that could be a lot more benificial then by employers half match -- especially if he could win, I wouldn't need to worry about the tax benifits anyway.
How much do you contribute to your 401K every month. I make about $800 every 2 weeks. Contributing 6% That's about $64/2weeks or over $130/month or so that I could contribute to the Paul campain over and beyond what I'm already doing.
And if Paul doesn't win the nomination, I can always start it up again.
Do you think we could find 10,000 Ron Paul supporters that would be willing to do this? 10,000 * $130/month is $1.3 million/month. Is their 100,000?
I'm not real good at launching these pledge campaigns or writing a good ad copy to try and convince others to do the same. Some maybe some of the other people here might have other ideas on how to advertise the benifits of doing this.
But it's something I'm doing at least.
