"October Surprise" Is Back - Wikileaks' Assange Confirms Tuesday Video Appearance
    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-1...deo-appearance
As HeatSt.com reports, Wikileaks used its Facebook page to confirm that Assange would speak at the event, which takes place at 3am Eastern time.

Sources close to the event tell Heat Street that Assange may be planning to release some new information his organization has obtained about the U.S. Democratic Party. But Heat Street has yet to receive independent confirmation that Assange plans to dump information specifically on Hillary Clinton.

The news that Assange plans to appear (remotely) in Berlin comes after Wikileaks abruptly canceled a much-anticipated announcement in London that was to be made from the balcony of London’s Ecuadorian Embassy, where Assange has sought sanctuary for years. The cancellation was first reported by NBC News. According to NBC’s Jesse Rodriguez, the announcement was canceled due to “security concerns”.

There had been widespread anticipating that Tuesday’s announcement might have been Assange’s long-promised document dump on Hillary Clinton.
    [...]
Assange and his supporters have long claimed that his personal safety is at risk due to the danger he (supposedly) represents to Clinton’s presidential ambitions. Monday morning, Wikileaks via Twitter was promoting the conspiracy theory that Clinton herself has sought to rub out Assange.

    [...]
Nonetheless, the Wikileaks’ cancellation of Tuesday’s announcement in London — and the scheduling of the Tuesday video link in Berlin — has anti-Clinton conspiracy theorists working up a frantic stew of speculation. [...]

The State, on the other hand, both in its genesis and by its primary intention, is purely anti-social. It is not based on the idea of natural rights, but on the idea that the individual has no rights except those that the State may provisionally grant him. Methinks there will be nothing major... Assange is in this for himself. All he wants is the charges against him dropped so he can leave the embassy and go home. If Clinton backdoors that deal, I'm sure the 'leaks' will be nothing more than a byline for a day.

I wish and hope that were not the case, but my earned cynicism on these issues tells me otherwise.

Secretary of State Hitlary Clinton Previously Proposed Assassinating Julian Assange

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Previously Proposed Assassinating Julian Assange
    http://endingthefed.com/under-intens...n-assange.html

Julian Assange and his free-speech brainchild Wikileaks were once lauded as global heroes of public service among United States politicians and policy makers. But by 2010 … Assange and his organization were no longer considered lovable troublemakers and mavericks. … Wikileaks was suddenly considered an out-of-control free-speech Frankenstein wreaking havoc on United States foreign policy and intelligence gathering at the direction of Assange, its proverbial Dr. Frankenstein. …

Assange’s personal safety and organization were increasingly at risk from U.S. concerns. … By November 2010 … the State Department … and the White House with policy wonks and bureaucrats [were] desperately seeking to squelch the upstart Wikileaks.

At the State Department, meeting after meeting was conducted about how Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her inner circle were going to squash Assange and Wikileaks latest planned document dump …. Deemed “CableGate,” … Clinton met with staff on Tuesday November 23, 2010 shortly after 8 a.m. on Mahogany Row at the State Department to attempt to formulate a strategy to avert Assange’s plans to release an enormous batch of 250,000 secret cables, dating from 1966 to 2010. …
Clinton’s State Department was getting pressure from President Obama and his White House inner circle, as well as heads of state internationally, to try and cutoff Assange’s delivery of the cables … Hence, Clinton’s early morning November meeting of State’s top brass who floated various proposals to stop, slow or spin the Wikileaks contamination.

That is when a frustrated Clinton, sources said, at some point blurted out a controversial query. “Can’t we just drone this guy?” Clinton openly inquired, offering a simple remedy to silence Assange and smother Wikileaks via a planned military drone strike, according to State Department sources. The statement drew laughter from the room which quickly died off when the Secretary kept talking in a terse manner, sources said. Clinton said Assange, after all, was a relatively soft target, “walking around” freely and thumbing his nose without any fear of reprisals from the United States. … At that time in 2010, Assange was relatively free and not living cloistered in in the embassy of Ecuador in London. Prior to 2010, Assange focused Wikileaks’ efforts on countries outside the United States but now under Clinton and Obama, Assange was hammering America … Clinton was fuming, sources said, as each State Department cable dispatched during the Obama administration was signed by her ...

Following Clinton’s alleged drone proposal, another controversial remedy was floated in the State Department to place a reward or bounty for Assange’s capture and extradition … Numbers were discussed in the realm of a $10 million bounty. A State Department source described that staff meeting as bizarre. One minute staffers were inquiring about the Secretary’s blue and black checkered knit sweater and the next minute, the room was discussing the legalities of a drone strike on Assange and financial bounties, sources said.

Immediately following the conclusion of the wild brainstorming session … State Department Director of Policy Planning Ann-Marie Slaughter, penned an email to Clinton, Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills, and aides Huma Abebin and Jacob Sullivan at 10:29 a.m. entitled “an SP memo on possible legal and nonlegal strategies re Wikileaks.”

Nonlegal strategies.” … Why would the secretary of state and her inner circle be discussing any “nonlegal strategies” for anything whatsoever? Against anyone? Shouldn’t all the strategies discussed by the country’s top diplomat be strictly legal only? … Numerous attempts were made to try and interview and decipher Slaughter’s choice of email wording, however, she could not be reached for comment. … Slaughter is keeping a “low profile” … until she is nominated for a position in Clinton’s cabinet … Likewise, True Pundit attempted to contact Mills, Abedin, and Sullivan for their perspectives on this story. None commented on the record.

Slaughter’s cryptic email also contained an attached document called “SP Wikileaks doc final11.23.10.docx.” That attachment portion of Slaughter’s “nonlegal strategies” email has yet to be recovered by federal investigators and House committee investigators probing Clinton’s email practices …

Sources confirm Clinton took the email and attachment with her to the White House for an afternoon meeting with Secretary of Defense Bob Gates and National Security Advisor Tom Donilon prior to an additional evening meeting at the White House. … President Obama did attend the second meeting, however, and Wikileaks and Assange’s planned release of secret cables were discussed at length, … Attending this meeting were President Obama, Clinton, Gates, Donilon, Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg, Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Michele Flournoy, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral “Mike” Mullen, Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. James Cartwright as well as a half dozen or more various policy aides …

The FBI’s 302 report from Clinton’s email investigation interview, again, specified that Clinton had “many discussions” related to “nominating” drone strikes on individuals:

“Clinton recalled having many discussions related to nominating an individual for a drone strike. When Clinton exchanged classified information pertaining to the drone program internally at State, it was in her office or on a secure call. When Clinton exchanged classified information pertaining to the drone program externally it was at the White House. Clinton never had a concern with how classified information pertaining to the drone program was handled.”

Sources said Clinton’s comments on neutralizing Assange fits a pattern of callousness when combined with the FBI testimony that she often considered droning individuals and then coupled with her reaction to Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi’s death in Oct. 2011.

Gaddafi was tortured and killed, largely due to Clinton’s maneuvering in the Middle East and Libya. During a sit down interview with CBS News, a Clinton aide notified the room during a taping break of news reports that Gaddafi had been dragged throughout the streets of Libya and ultimately killed. Unaware the camera was still rolling, a jovial and proud Clinton pronounced: “We came. We saw. He died.” … A cackling Clinton was then joined in laughter by the CBS correspondent and off-camera aides and staff. … more proof of a disturbing habit of treating human life as a disposable commodity ...

It's Wikileaks 10th anniversary also. You'd think he'd release something big on that day, and he said to Kelly he thought it was big but it depends on how it's reported, so you're probably right.

    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/vid..._election.html

KELLY: Now, you've seen it, right? Can you tell us how significant you believe it is? I mean compare its significance to what we saw released by Wikileaks in July.

ASSANGE: Well, I don't want to scoop ourselves. We have a lot of pages of material, thousands of pages of material. So, while I have not read every single page, in doing that, I didn't want to give the game away. But there's a variety of different types of documents from different types of institutions that are associated with the election campaign, some quite unexpected angles that are, you know, quite interesting, some even entertaining.

KELLY: Do you -- you know, right now according to the average of all polls, she's beating Donald Trump by 5.5 points nationwide, she's way ahead of him in most of the swing states, not all, do you believe the information in your possession could be a game-changer in the U.S. election?

ASSANGE: I think it's significant. You know, it depends on how it catches fire in the public and in the media.

I think we have reached the point where it is impossible for the Clintons to have a "big scandal" no matter what they do. They kill with impunity and always have.

There Is Just One Thing Americans Want To Know About Hillary Clinton Right Now
    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-1...nton-right-now

In advance of Julian Assange's much anticipated press conference scheduled for 10:00 am CET tomorrow (4:00 am Eastern), when the Wikileaks founder is expected to reveal information which according to some could have a profound adverse impact on Hillary Clinton's presidential candidacy...

... and which Assange himself built up in a June interview with Britain's ITV when he said that “We have upcoming leaks in relation to Hillary Clinton", adding that Wikileaks had accumulated a lot of material about Hillary Clinton with which the FBI "could proceed to an indictment", there is just one thing Americans want to know about Hillary Clinton.

According To Google, the main search query in the past day is a simple one: "What could Wikileaks have on Clinton?"

A drilldown into Hillary Clinton-specific Google Trends shows that virtually the only thing Americans are searching for as of this moment, has to do either with Julian Assange, Assange, or Wikileaks, with interest substantially surpassing the other tangential query of the day relating to "Bill Clinton's son."
    [...]
One month ago, Assange once again stoked expectations, when he told Fox that "the most interesting and serious [disclosures] relate to upcoming publications we have", which perhaps is why virtually everyone expects the announcement in less than 12 hours to relate to Hillary. To which there are two alternatives: Assange may not release anything at all having to do with the Democratic presidential candidate, or whatever he does disclose, ends up underwhelming.

As a reminder, while Assange had originally planned to deliver his announcement from the balcony of the Ecuador embassy in London where has been holed up for years, he cancelled in the last minute over reported “security concerns.”

In any event, all eyes will be on Julian Assange, bright and early, at 4am Eastern time: make sure to set your alarms.

He's got good promotion going on now, what with being threatened with assassination.

Maybe someday he’ll reveal the threats he faced not only against himself, but the threats against family, friends, employees, leakers.

It was disappointing given the hype over the last few months and what seemed to be a culmination leading up to the presentation this morning.

To be fair, they were celebrating the 10th anniversary of Wikileaks and the speeches given seemed to be more built around that than anything else. The problem was that they built this up indirectly, with "sources" about when the leaks were going to be dropped stating it was going to happen today. Without that build up and Alex Jones promoting the hell out of this, I don't think many would have tuned in, let alone notice that it was the 10th anniversary. They clearly took advantage of the increased viewership and also clearly have ruffled some feathers.

Or perhaps he trolled Hillary, but she didn't bite. Maybe the idea was to draw her into directly contacting him to call for the leaks to be called off, complete with bribery attempts, F-bombs and death threats. If Assange had gotten THAT on tape and released it, it indeed would have been a bombshell.

Once again, my cynicism spidey sense was spot on.

Assange is full of $#@!. All he wants is for the Clintons (who have DEEP financial ties in Sweden) to get the charges dropped so he can leave the embassy. He's trolling for donations and more time in the spotlight.

The day wikileaks comes out with something truly gamechanging....i'll eat my hat.

There are about one million documents to be released by year’s end. Some will come this week and are “significant in relation to the upcoming U.S. election,” Assange said. Asked directly if the docs will “destroy Clinton.” He answered, “There’s been a lot of misquoting of me and WikiLeaks publications. In this particular case, the misquoting has to do with that we intend, or I intend, to harm Hillary Clinton or that I don’t like Hillary Clinton. All those are false. They come about as a result it seems of this campaign and those who are trying to personalize our publications.”

What is coming will be published every week for the next 10 weeks with all election-related docs to hit before November 8. “Do they show interesting features of U.S. power factions and how they operate?” Assange mused. “Yes, they do.” He added that overall there is “significant material on war, arms, oil, Google, the election and mass surveillance.”

Finally, when asked if he felt an “affinity” with Donald Trump, he answered, “It’s an interesting question. I feel personal affinity with all human beings… I certainly feel sorry for Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. They are two people that are tormented by their ambitions in different ways.”

Agreed, not only it's a friendly couuntry ( although things are not same and London has an Islamic man as mayor now), he is white guy and nor some poor colored nobody.

BTW, if all other factors were same and he looked like Miriam Carey of Washington DC, do you think odds of him being attacked by freedom defending forces will be same or change drastically?
