Bill Maher was just on and they totally talked him up! Not only did Maher say Paul was his personal hero he wants him back on the show AND told a democratic presidential candidate "Why don't any of you say stuff like this" when referring to Ron’s anti-war stance.
Anyone else catch the show?

Man, I missed it! Hopefully someone will post the vid. More and more people in the media are starting to open their ears to Paul's message. This should have an exponential effect. I wouldnt be surprised next time they do one of those telephone polls that he jumps higher from his current 3%. I'm sure his name recognition has soared this week.

I'm sure someone will post it. Everyone was gushing over him... even the other republican on the show. I think it was probably about 15 minutes of backing Ron up.

Maher was kind of a jerk to Paul last time, I don't know if he wants to go back on the show. He might though since the tone will probably be different this time around.

I wouldn't be so hard on maher about his last interview, he at least gave Ron time to speak, and thats all Ron needed to be able to make some good points. All he really did was ask pointed questions.

Man Maher is a bandwagoner, all he did was rip on Paul when he was on his show. Now magically he "his hero"? ... Whatever, I'll take it.

It's probably due to Maher being left-wing, actually.

He actually considers himself somewhat libertarian, what he is though a liberal libertine.

Ron Paul is my hero for one of the reasons being the first time he was on Maher's show. I've never EVER seen anyone hand maher's intellectual ass to himself- educationally and with a smile before until Ron Paul. Dr. Paul gives everyone a smile and an intellectual opportunity, like when he was on Hannity after the last debate, he stated with a smile he would be happy to debate Rudy where both of their stances could be stated.
I can't wait till someone (hopefully soon) posts this clip!

Awsome, Maher is a complete ass, but we'll take it!
I love Bill Maher even though I don't always agree with him. I didn't like how he treated Ron Paul in the first appearance but I knew he'd eventually come around once he knew more about him. Bill Maher is big on alternative health and the problems with the FDA. So is Ron Paul. They should talk about that. It would be amazing!

Libertine is the best word.
He's a social libertarian when it comes to anything related to prostitution, pornography, drugs, or anything regarding pleasure that the religious right doesn't like. He also wants to end corporate welfare and privatization of some things. So he's more libertarian than your average liberal.
But he's still no libertarian, for a large number of socialist and activist reasons... he should really stop using the word.

Bill calls Mr. Paul his 'new hero'! He redeems himself. Haven't got to the part where he asks Mr. Paul back. That's awesome! Great news!

As long as Ron Paul gets to speak and his comments are not edited or spliced out of context to make it mean anything other than what he said, this is fair enough.
We get to hear what Ron Paul has said as well as what the other person has said, and it's up to the viewer to make the decision.
I've seen some Fox news coverage of Ron Paul and even though the post-commentary was stinging, unfair, spun completely out of context and untrue, they at least had the decency to air what Ron Paul said verbatim and did not edit it to make it appear like he said something else. (Or maybe I guess if they ever do sneaky editing like that on the mainstream network news, they will likely get sued.)
One has to be aware that filmmakers like Aaron Russo and Michael Moore get to utilize such splicing/editing techniques in their films all the time. I don't think Russo abuses it nearly as much as Michael Moore does however.
