Go one block over to Royal and then follow it in a south eastern direction, after about 10-15 blocks and a slight curve you will get to Frenchmen Street. This is the real NOLA, awesome live music and awesome atmosphere. All of the bars/clubs are good, but you definitely have to check out the Reggae one.
