He hired Moncef Slaoui to head the Federalized program, who was a Moderna Board Member, former Chairman of Global Research and Development, Chairman of Global Vaccines at GlaxoSmithKline and partnered with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Trump appointed Dr. Scott Gottlieb FDA Commissioner in March 2017 and in June 2019 Gottlieb was elected to Pfizer’s Board of Directors. Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech was authorized to produce the clot-shot. Trump ordered the FDA chief to authorize Pfizer vaccine or submit his resignation.
