Why would a male porn star branch out into manufacturing lawn chairs? ETA: Wrong spelling apparently. In that case why would a dead actor branch out into manufacturing lawn chairs? Even more curious as to HOW he might accomplish that feat.

Since when has truth and accountability ever mattered before. As far as the majority are concerned, they are "invaders", and more than not are not even aware that their tax dollars are funding the NGOs who are in turn transporting them. Keep the illusion up, that'll certainly solve the problem. And let me guess, Senator Chris Murphy is one of the ones who supported funding said NGO's.

I'm not. And if that is the case, it is the U.S. politicians in office who are to blame, for financing it, let alone allowing it to happen. I still believe that the decision to transfer the POTUS was to get buy-in from the "other side", which means our politicians within our government were complicit.

:D And now that I have the cheaper/better lawn chairs, I can have gatherings more often, which puts money into the local caterers in my area, keeping them in business.

I need 30. I will use the $300 saved to hire the caterer for a small gathering at my place. Otherwise, I don't need or want 30 lawn chairs if I can't afford the caterer. Plus, the 30 from China have those neat little drink holders on the side, the American ones don't. No, I don't care to go broke, for the betterment of others.

I agree with most of your post, except for the last sentence. Here again, who decides? Not trying to derail, I believe there is another thread where this has been raised, but I do hear comments every so often that tariffs will help "mitigate" this, which should not be justification at all.

Mises Wire Eduard Bucher 05/20/2024 Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Renato Moicano’s recent statement that patriots should read Ludwig von Mises has led the Institute of Economic Affairs to upload a nine-minute video addressing the most googled questions about Mises. It is largely accurate and does justice to some of Mises’s major contributions, and for these reasons it is to be lauded; however, the presenter, Kristian Niemitz, notes that Mises’s intransigence led to his getting “a few things wrong,” including his belief that “there could be no such thing as a mixed economy in the long term.” In contradiction of Mises’s position, he argues, “Virtually all the world’s economies are mixed economies of one kind or another.” The position under attack is Mises’s famous 1950 article, “The Middle of the Road Leads to Socialism,” in which he shows that each intervention proves abortive from the very point of view of the government and the groups it was eager to favor. It brings about a state of affairs, which—again from the point of view of the government—is even less desirable than the previous state of affairs which it was designed to improve.

Yes, people CAN watch it for themselves. Ironically enough, and unfortunately so wrt your claims, Ron is making the same exact point in this video that I tried to make in that last thread on this topic, namely that the higher prices invariably caused by protectionist tariffs, ON TOP OF the increased prices caused by monetary inflation are really putting the squeeze on American consumers. You tried to disingenuously claim that I said that tariffs caused inflation in that one. At least you’re a consistent liar.

You’re lying again. As I noted above, Ron SPECIFICALLY STATED that tariffs DO NOT cause inflation. The “adds fuel” comment was explained to mean that the higher prices caused by tariffs all by themselves add to the consumers burden when added to the higher prices caused by inflation. NOWHERE did Ron even I’m-ly that tariffs in any way cause inflation. As for the rest, your claims have been dealt with by myself and several others multiple times. Fletcher got it all wrong and his book is fit for composting and that’s about it.

The bold above is a lie. Ron nowhere said that tariffs cause inflation. In fact he repeated several times that tariffs DO NOT cause inflation but do cause higher prices. He then several times noted that the higher prices caused by tariffs combined with those caused by inflation were really hurting American consumers. The rest of your comments are just more of the same anti-freedom garbage you always post on this topic that I don’t have the time right now to deal with. Nor the inclination, for that matter since truth on this topic falls upon deaf ears where you and a few others are concerned. I’ve wasted enough of my life trying to convince obdurately resistant people that freedom is better than their familiar, and therefor comfortable, slavery. Enjoy your chains.

Too many corporations that people deal with on a day-to-day basis are merged with government, and partnered with the WEF. People are not going to boycott business that they work for, or do business every day with, it doesn't matter who is elected, R or D, they are preselected/preapproved and will continue the Agenda. If there ever is a civil war, or a world war for that matter, people will forced to take things as local as possible. The problem is, all of this can avoided if people did that now. But they won't. They simply aren't extremist enough, nor do they want to be, even if it leads to the cure. Government is not going to save you. All of this dems did this! repubs did that! doesn't matter, the people are still going to go along with it all and vote, believing that it will actually make a difference. So, there ya go.

MAY 21 2024 * The World Economic Forum confirmed Tuesday that founder Klaus Schwab is moving away from the day-to-day management of the organization after more than 50 years at the helm. * The forum said that the move was part of a multiyear strategy to change its management structure, shifting governance to a president and managing board. * The 86-year-old's succession plan has been the source of much speculation over recent years, although the organization has remained tight-lipped about its intentions until now.
